Grading Nine weeks and semester grades will be based on a weighted points system from the following: Daily work - 40% Tests/Quizzes - 40% Semester Exam - 20%
Absence/Tardy Policy Those not in there seat when the bell rings will be marked as tardy. It is the responsibility of the student to get the assignment(s) missed due to an absence and turn it in. You have the same amount of time that you were absent to turn in the assignment(s). If you missed a test or quiz that you did know about, you will take it when you get back.
Rules 1. You may expect from me that I will always be fair, polite and respectful of each of my students. And, I will expect the same treatment from you of me and others in the classroom. 2. No student will keep me from teaching. 3. No student will keep other students from learning. 4. If anyone disrupts the class while I am teaching or students are working, I will give this person a verbal warning. 5. If the disruption continues, I will give a second verbal warning. A third verbal warning in the same class period means you will be written up to visit the principal.
6. Failure to bring materials (book, paper, pencil, etc.) to class may result in a tardy.
7. Late homework is not accepted. Each student will receive 2 “late homework” slips at the beginning of each semester. No one may use any other students slips. Any unused slips may be turned in at the end of the semester for 10 homework points for each slip. |
